The KONZMANN Group acquires Ingenieurbüro Brundobler GmbH and strengthens its Engineering Division with additional areas of expertise
With the integration of Ingenieurbüro Brundobler GmbH, the KONZMANN Group is sending a strong signal of growth, technological excellence, and comprehensive engineering services delivering future-proof solutions in energy and building services engineering.
The KONZMANN Group is consistently pursuing its growth strategy in the engineering sector: With the integration of Ingenieurbüro Brundobler GmbH, the group is expanding its planning and consulting expertise with another strong partner in Bavaria.
The established engineering firm, with over 130 highly qualified employees at its locations in Kelheim, Dingolfing, Wackersdorf, and Mühldorf am Inn, has impressed for decades with its comprehensive expertise in the planning and project supervision of technical building services (TBS) for construction and industrial projects of all sizes. In addition, IBB GmbH has extensive experience in facility and energy management, as well as in consulting, project coordination, and the overall planning of technical systems.
A particular focus is placed on comprehensive coverage of cost group 400, which encompasses all technical systems installed or permanently integrated into the building, from plumbing to building automation. Since these systems account for a significant portion of the total investment and have a major impact on future operating costs, their careful planning is a key factor for success.
IBB GmbH’s goal is to act as a general technical planner to minimize interfaces with the client. Upon request, IBB GmbH also assumes the role of general planner, particularly in industrial projects where technical procurement costs exceed construction costs.
“With IBB, we are gaining an excellently positioned engineering firm with deep technical expertise and a clear strategy. The four locations significantly expand our presence in Bavaria while also bringing us closer to our customers,” explains Oliver Rennig, CEO of the KONZMANN Group. “The merger is another milestone on our path to becoming a 360° energy and building services provider, from consulting and planning through execution to service and technical operations.”
IBB GmbH perfectly complements the existing subsidiaries of the Engineering Division and strengthens our regional presence, particularly in Bavaria. “The integration of IBB directly contributes to our engineering DNA,” emphasizes Frank Mutschler, spokesperson for the Engineering Division. “The company’s broad range of services, strong network, and high flexibility create valuable synergies, particularly for the further establishment of our Engineering Division and for the implementation of complex technology and infrastructure projects for public and industrial clients.”
With comprehensive project and engineering expertise for public clients as well as for complex industrial and large-scale facilities such as in the automotive and private infrastructure sectors, IBB GmbH brings valuable technological and organizational strength to the KONZMANN Group. The well-structured, personally managed company also stands out for its independent, excellently organized branches.
For managing partner Christian Gehr, the succession plan was a long-term strategy: “In the KONZMANN Group, we have found the ideal partner to successfully guide our company and thus our employees’ jobs into the next generation. We can preserve our established identity and work culture while simultaneously benefiting from the strength of a leading corporate group that is excellently positioned both technically and organizationally.”
The IBB team will continue to operate independently at all existing locations while working closely with the other companies in the KONZMANN Group. The combination of local expertise, nationwide presence, and consolidated engineering capabilities creates a strong foundation for further growth and long-term customer satisfaction.
With the integration of Ingenieurbüro Brundobler GmbH, the KONZMANN Group reaffirms its position as one of the leading energy and building services providers with a unique 360° scope of services and thereby sends a clear signal of innovation, sustainability, and future-proofing in building services engineering.
